I'd lean towards a manual, but DCT technology has certainly come a long way from the automatics of yore. As a daily driver prospect, I worry a bit about DCT in term of long-term driver engagement - will I get bored of it, will I (gasp) actually put it in "auto" mode and just drive?! I also worry about long-term reliability and cost, as I tend to keep my cars for a while!
Take it from me M-DCT is great I've had 2 MT M3's before the one I have now and love it. It will not get boring at all you still have the stick (back and forth) plus you have the peddles to play with so no fear of boring
