I had custom ordered a set of Forgeline GA1R (exact offset spec as the bmw stock 345M wheel) back in early August and I had asked the wheel manuf. to ensure the M5 has a massive front brakes (bigger than Corvette & Porshce but smaller than Ferrari) and they would need to do their homework to make sure their wheels will clear before production is to start.

Guess what, wheels were made and delivered to my wheel shop and they were test fitted to the front first. Result, they do not clear the front brake caliper and the brake caliper pushed the wheel off centered from the hub. Luckily, I had stipulated on my order that I get my full money back if the wheels don't fit properly. Otherwise, I would be stuck with a $5000+ coffee table.

My wheel shop said the contour construction of the inner barrel is very important and even they were caught off guard the custom wheels did not fit.

Since then, it would seem like BBS & HRE wheels may be the only current wheel manuf can fit their 19 on the M5.

btw, I have since ordered a set of 19" bmw stock 345M wheels.
