So has anyone documented their experience yet? I just got my M5 last week, and will most definitely change the oil and filter at 500 miles, then take my oil (Mobil 1 0-40 European Formula) to the dealer and have them do the 1200 mile. I'll then do mine in between the dealer scheduled ones thereafter. Now I'm not being mean, BUT I both get a kick out of and get perturbed by the lack of DIY posts in this area on this forum. I own a Harley Davidson Street Glide and a Denali HD Duramax, and those forums can overwhelm a person with "how tos" and DIY threads/posts... Please don't post that "maintenance is included for 4 years/50k miles". Clearly, posts like that demonstrate a lack of understanding. I suppose I'm one of the few rednecks driving an M5... Just sayin...
