I've never heard of balance weights for brake pads. Is there a picture of the BMW "balance weights" on their brake pads? I have used pads and new pads in the garage with a BMW part number and there is no sign of any added weights. Of course my never having heard of them doesn't mean they don't exist, but I'd love to see what BMW identifies as a "balance weight" for a brake pad. Perhaps their language in the SIB doesn't do well from the German to English?
