There is definitely no increase in power. Like others have mentioned this is a very old topic. There was a consensus a while back that at the most, what there probably is, is some sort of ECU damping to restrict power during the Break-In period, just like owners of the new C7 Z06 are finding out. Also, just be warned that the ECU records how many times the Launch Control has been used and if something were to go wrong with the engine, some dealers have had the propensity to blame whatever went wrong with your car on the prodigious use of Launch Control and blame you for the problem. Some dealers, not all, but it has been known to happen with lame dealerships.
