Guys, this is simple and mechanical. For any given gear at a given vehicle speed, the engine should be turning at a constant speed (rpm) - assuming the clutch is fully engaged.
If the gear is constant and the vehicle speed is constant and the engine speed is rising - you got a problem - period.
