I just used a hammer and big screw driver took no time at all. Was a shame to throw it all away but in the uk it's really difficult to recycle anything like that after Gypsies steal metal and cut cats off cars.
With the smell I've got the cats back on the car at the moment and when the warranty runs out I'm just going to cut the primary cats so I'll still have the 400 cell as it does stink a fair bit running catless
