You clearly watched that video from that one moron on Youtube and took all of his absolute ignorance as fact.

These cars are outstandingly reliable all things considered. Far less maintenance hungry than the non-m counterparts. Since the engine runs so much cooler with regards to oil and coolant temps it doesn't nuke gaskets/seats/hoses either.

Tires & brakes are going to be your 2 largest expenses. A good set of tires is going to run you $2k, front brakes about $2k, rear brakes about $1500, etc. This is a big boy car with big boy upkeep costs. I've chewed through front & rear brakes and 1 set of rear tires in 25,000 miles of daily driving tuned at ~800hp.

My 2014 still has its original battery at 84k....
