Well, the noise appeared off and on for over a year but was never serious sounding. Week before last it got serious and sounded really bad when coasting off the gas, gets quieter when accelerating.
So I parked it and ordered a rear bearing/hub assembly and required one time use fasteners. So today I installed everything and it didn't change anything. I'm at loss.
Wheel feels fine off the ground with no play or noises when rotated. I put the car in roller mode with the wheels off the ground and ran it up to 4th gear. Sounds perfect, no noise. Diff fluid was changed last year, pads and rotors are good. I looked at the brake shield and that seems fine as well. Axle issue?
