My M6 did this on both sides when cruising thru the canyons. Nothing to worry about, doesnt affect anything. The car is heavy, and under suspension load things stress. The noise never gets louder and again it affects nothing and goes away after things cool down.. its quite common, so just drive harder and forget about it
