I think this is a great question. I have 305s on my M3, and I still break loose under hard acceleration in 2nd gear. I don't think I would even consider getting a 6MT in the M5 with such massive amounts of TQ/HP. I need to get behind the wheel of one, but I think lack of traction would annoy me. Mine is DCT. With either trans you get used to modulating the throttle.
