As another update: the nut one connects the thrust arm to the hub with is conveniently 2cm. As such, one can put this nut on the hub and rest the swivel bearing lug (or whatever) on it to keep the 2cm while tightening the bolt on the chassis.
I will say that getting either the bolt or nut to the proper torque spec was very hard. Even with a longer torque wrench we didn't quite get there. Close, but not quite there.
