You can buy the lease rate down with multiple security deposits (up to 7) which would reduce the monthly payment by about $85. M6-Coupe's calculation pre-tax is spot on at $1,500, so if they're telling you $1,713 inclusive of KS sales tax it seems your state may have a fairly punitive tax structure for vehicle leases.
