I see - thanks. Not good... Wouldn't this gradually damage the upper pad as the coil hits it again and again over time?

BMW seems to be doing too much testing on tracks and other perfect roads, and too little on rough roads... Still, you would think they would at least test the car a few times on some speed bumps.

I hope the coil springs in the 2013 model year production are good, but who knows - the problem was discovered only recently.
