I've got a F10 M5 and an biturbo E63 wagon with Performance Pack. I can't tell you which is best because I like them both. The M5 rides a little better but the E63 sounds nicer. The Merc feels smaller on the road, but the BMW has a more modern interior. They are both great cars - you can't go wrong with either.
