First 40/50 miles is IMO and many others the "window" to seal those rings. By pushing it too 5.5K in lower gears and allowing the gears to slow you, it seals them, eliminating "Blow by".
After that just drive normal with blasting (were you can) but not exceeding 5.5K, should be good.
My LCI drives really well and picks up in any gear hard.
When you say first 40/50 miles

What mode did you drive in?

Were you still in auto the whole time, letting the dct change up and down gears for you?
Or did you use the paddles in the first 50 miles?
