By no means am I knocking the M5. I had the pleasure of riding in a new one, god that car is a rocket ship and so beautifully luxurious. The seats, the sound (I happen to like they way it sounds) everything about it just felt high end and awesome. I just wish it had its proportions but was the size somewhere between e39 and e60. Hell, the new M3 is only 6 inches shorter than an e39!
Agreed. I drive one. I feel the same.

I came from the E92 M3 and decided I wanted a car with more usable power on a daily basis. I am very impressed with it's off-the-lot handling for a car of its size. Honestly, I have no complaints. The same went with the E92 M3. The M3 shined on the track. This car eats up the street. Definitely no complaints when you throw in the BnO sound, exec seats and Class-A fit and finish.

Worth every penny.
