Had my M5 new since January 2014. The fill with 1 litre of oil warning appeared at around 4200 miles for first time. In theory I had run-in oil change at 1200 miles, so doing 3000 miles per litre assuming this continues. I would like to think that oil consumption will reduce as the new engine beds-in and thing loosen up!
