Also, it would be best for one to shop around as there are consolidated fares offered for first class, business and coach seats and are substantially less compared to what one can get if he/she goes directly to the Airlines. Sometimes going through a travel agent can be better than going to Travelocity, Expidia, etc.

Agreed. Quick look on Lufthansa was $18,000 for first class for two. I plan to see what the Courtyard Travel people can do for me as thay have an apparent partnership with BMW for ED and have heard really good things about them.
