it may be a loss price wise, however the kit is very reliable and comes with warranty. I dont see how you destroy the responsiveness, as you are only improving it.
Maybe this is not the right car for this? what do you recommend?
I believe hpf is reputable and that this car would last if maintained properly.
I think that the e46 is better than the e90 in that it is more tuner friendly similar to the 335
