Competition Package for M5 Daily Driver

I know the benefits of the M5 Competition Package ("CP") have been discussed at length in various posts, but what's not clear to me is whether the CP is something that makes daily driving better or worse. For example, I've read certain reviews (e.g., C&D stating that the "Competition pack never lets the driver forget he’s sacrificed comfort on the altar of trackworthy performance") suggesting the CP makes daily driving less comfortable, resulting in a rougher ride, etc.

Accordingly, my question is -- for an M5 that is likely to never see a track, is the CP a waste of money that will potentially make daily driving less enjoyable? Other than (i) the different exhaust; (ii) lower ride height; and (iii) different wheels (assuming I go with the 601s), are there any benefits to having the CP on an M5 daily driver?

I appreciate any information/insight you can provide. Thanks.
