But seriously , yes locking/opening is just touching any of the four door handles,
the trunk opens either via key fob or comfort access by "kicking" under the rear bumper.
I'd never buy a car without comfort access, had it on my last 4 and it's a must have feature (for me) .
CA is also used for audio settings, seat memory and much more .
CA also notices which key is the closest one opening the car , so you and your
wife can have the keys with you at all times. Just need to make sure whoever wants
the key to be used for settings etc is first at the car/opening.
