After driving the car for a week, it’s my opinion that the DCT feels very similar to my 2014 M5. So that is good news!

The exhaust sound is underwhelming and to me it belies the power of the engine, which is a gem. Only 300 miles but it revs quickly and has good power. I did find out you have to take several pieces out to remove the charcoal filters. The M5 is a piece of cake in comparison.

It does ride and handle great and that is definitely its strong suit. However, I have been reading about flash tuning and stage 1 may be in my future. I do miss the raw power of the M5.

Not sure what to do about the exhaust but I will probably have to get used to it!

Interestingly, I called the local Audi dealer prior to buying the M4 to inquire about a “coming soon” RS5. The sales rep. made it sound like it was made of gold. I am sure it’s very nice but he implied that there would be a bidding war for the car!
