Had her up in the air today checking bushings. The rear difff mount bushing was the only one I thought had to much play in it even though I can't see any cracking, but it could just be ripped.

Mine is also doing this - the exact same noise but im fairly certain its coming from the rear of the car. Ive done some research and some threads have said rear sway bar, but i obviously want to be more certain before i start swapping parts. NOT TO MENTION, and hopefully im wrong about this but it looks like BMW sells the rear sway bar bushings WITH the sway bar. If this is correct then EFF you BMW this is getting old.
