Although, I do believe the car is constantly comparing all four wheels and there are parameters that it is programmed to maintain. The car can compensate with brake application or reduction of power to remedy what it perceives as a problem. Love to see the pictures when everything comes together!

You are in fact correct. I recently ran slightly taller (0.3" difference) rear drag radials and transmission in connection with the rear diff kept on freaking out, wouldn't shift or traction control would come on for no reason.
