You come on strong at the top end, but in a 1/4 mile I'd say that you might have a half a car to a car on the E39. Guess it depends on the distance you are going to race. Might want to get a few more mods before taking on a E60.

The E39 M5 is bone stock!
I had a modded E39 M5 in the past, and I couldn't improve on 13.4 even with BFG drag radials.
My GS460 does 13.9 with street tires!
So yes, as things stand, i might not stand a chance against a stock M5 on the 1/4 mile.
Just curious, what ET does a stock E39 M5 do?
