I'm already running the MEISTERSCHAFT GTC + LXR PIPE which I'm extremely happy with ...

So I'm thinking about doing a stage 1 ECU tune with the factory DP's ...
However I've been going back and forth whether I should do the ECU tune or not but honestly I'm afraid of the following :

1. Can my dealer detect it the tune?

The dealer can if they are looking for it... Im always up front with my SA but I first make sure he or she is mod friendly.

2. How reliable is the ECU tune?

It depends... there is inherent risk in any mod as you are adjusting what was deemed optimal at the factory level. My best advice here is "you better be able to pay if you want to play" The more aggressive tunes will definitely push the reliablity envelope but will also yield you more gains.

3. Will there be a engine light?

Usually not as the tune is designed to bypass such warnings.

4. In California we run 91 octane - will that be a problem?

No, just make sure the tune is set for this octane reading.

5. Will I really FEEL a substantial difference?

If its anything like the other tunes I have on turbos, you will absolutely feel it. (3 Porsche turbos, Audi S4, CL65, GTR, 2 M157 AMG's, etc cant lead me wrong and these are just some of my tuned cars Ive had)

6. What's the actuall power increase?

Again, it depends on how aggressive the tune is. Dynographing will assist here.

WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?
