I have both the M5 and a 458, (and a GT-R), and as much as I like the M5 and think it performs well (for a 4300 pound family sedan), the two cars are not even close on the track (or anywhere else). I do not understand German, so do not know if they explained certain circumstances in that test, but the 458 iw WAAY faster on the straights, and corners much better.
On the track that I drive the 458 is about 10% faster at the end of each straight compared to the M5. In fact, the 458 is faster than the GT-R by a significant amount on the straights, but the GT-R is faster on the curves.

M5 - 1/4 mile - 12 seconds at 122-124 mph. G force in cornering .90-.95.

458 - 1/4 mile - 11 seconds at 129 mph. G force in cornering easily over 1 G.
