I have a local friend with an M5 and he has the RPI GTM system with no resonators and between him and I both cars with Catless Downpipes are equally loud and drone like crazy. The difference was the raspiness in the sound which was attributed to the stock resonators. After I changed them to the resonated X pipe. Cabin noise dropped by at least 70% and no more drone.

No resonators there will definitely be cabin noise and drone. Haha

For comparison sake, these are with stock Downpipes but you can see they sound the same. RPI GTM no resonators and Turner Muffler Delete with stock resonators. The stock resonators added this raspiness that was annoying to me inside and out.
