Clarification on proper oil

Please fellow members be aware of the proper oil for our cars. There is a misconception at most dealerships that our cars use the TWS 10w60 that has been required for many other M vehicles. I experienced this at 2 different dealerships. They said that they have been putting the TWS oil in all M cars. In our manuals is clearly states that we need 0w30, 0w40, or 5w30 longlife synthetic. I had to tell the dealerships what oil to put in. Last year there was a bulletin that went out to European dealerships to correct this misconception. There were guys that got the wrong oil and had to get it redrained. I am no oil expert so I don't know if it would harm our cars but it is always good to use the right stuff especially since its there.
