I had an 07 Gallardo.
The AWD sucks too much power at low end. The car felt sluggish. I just felt i am dragging a big ass. Not as nimble as 430.
I haven't drove the new 458 yet. So can't comment on that.

have you driven the lp560? my only experience was in a 2010 lp560 spyder and it was really fun... and 458 is light years ahead of 430, and i feel like gallardo was more fun than the 430 but agree its just not going to be very exciting when the m5 is the daily car. i want a fast convertible/spyder toy, but no 458 spyder around. any other ideas?
