From the 0-60 time I can't see how the lighter ///M5 won't beat this by some margin.

It looks beautiful and I love the M6-like wheels with a modern touch. Like what they've done with the engine aesthetics. Not overdone, just evil looking
I thought I saw the X5M did 4.2 somewhere, there are 3 big things to consider here:

1) The X5 35i weighs 900 lbs more than the 535i (so if M5 is 900-1000 lbs lighter than X5M?)
2) The X5M has a 6 speed "sport" automatic, the M5 will have a 7 speed DCT
3) negative for the M5, the X5M and X6M have AWD which helps out their acceleration when trying to put this much power to the pavement.

on a track these won't even compare, but on a drag, it could be a toss up depending on conditions.
