This design looks interesting.

I haven't searched to see the X5/6M setups but I'm wondering something.

I'm assuming the turbos are on level with the exhaust ports which is pretty typical and seems to be the case since the bottom of the intercoolers are right there to cool the gases coming out of them.

Is it safe to assume that there is some air intake plumbing on the bottom side of the airboxes that feed the snails?

All seems normal until I look at the top side plumbing of the airboxes being fed right back into the intake stream.

1. There has got to be some sort of air pressure barrier to keep the boosted portion of the lines from blowing back out the air inlets no?

2. Perhaps these are in line with the boosted plumbing so that more air can be pulled into the system by the boosted flow?

What do you guys think/know about this?
