Inside the cabin, you'll rarely be able to hear the turbos even if you remove the cats as your exhaust system would drown it out and the cabin is well insulated. Windows down I used to hear mine.

With a muffler delete and stock cats, the turbo whistle is there and noticeable outside the car clearly. Remove charcoal and add high flow filters or intakes and you should hear it even more. Remove the cats and it will be substantially noticeable.

Here is a video of my old muffler delete. You can hear the turbos.



Here is my exhaust system with catless downpipes. Noticeable difference. Spooling is much louder.
