I'm not following you. You say my snows in 20" are 1 inch taller than my stock 20" wheels/tires? Stock profile for 20" is 35/30 f/r if I'm not mistaken.

He's saying that the height of the tire and the rubber is 1" more than your stock tires which could create issues for ABS, traction control, stability control.

The math on your snows is 255mm X 40% aspect ratio= 102mm. Compare this to a tire that is 255/35 which is 255mm X35% aspect ratio = 89.25 mm so the winter tire is 12.75mm more rubber height times 2 (top and bottom of tire) making the approx 1" overal height difference.

PS : Aspect ratio is how high the tire is reletive to the width
