It is never immune.
At a minimum it is reducing the detectors k band sensitivity because the DSP interprets the K band from the bumper as background noise.
The only detector I know that manages this quite well is Bels StiR+ where the DSP is programmed with5 MHz slices of K band which are typically automotive and not law enforcement. Law Enforcement is 24.120 ghz. So if say your bumper is operating at 24.150, then it is programmed to filter 24.1475-24.1525ghz. This enables you to retain sensitivity while not getting noise.
