Change your oil brand. I've heard certain brands burn more so than others. Mine doesn't burn any oil between oil changes (10k kms) I use Mobil 1 0-40 European formula.....I know, I know...it doesn't have the BMW designation...It did in 2014, and the Formulation of the oil hasn't changed a whole lot according to the Mobil 1 folks.
Just switching to a different 'approved' brand may work well also.
