I have just the opposite experience. I replaced three rears on my M5 in the first year. The first one was a nail picked up three weeks after I took it home. About a year later I got two new rears at 12,000 mi one had a bulb and the other had a screw. The policy was $1300 so it's paid for. Anymore tires are free. Same story with my 535, 3 tires in three years on that one. So far I already have one on the Porsche, it was a screw I picked up in the first week I owned the car.

Porsche Roadside Assistance towed the car to a dealership that replaced the tire and I was on my way, no money out of pocket.
