Hmm, now THAT'S promising! If it only rev matched when I'm just cruising around at lower engine speeds but let me to do it myself at higher engine speeds where I'd be when I'm out to have fun and want to do it myself, that'd be perfect. Might not be ideal on the track where people might want it at higher engine speeds for the speed/smoothness benefit, but it wouldn't surprise me if BMW designed this with the assumption that the vast majority of M5 owners wouldn't be taking them to the track.
