Yes, but we don't live in a perfect world.
Gas tanks are underground. They stay there long term. Water is also underground. Water is heavier than gas. Fill up when the station is low and next thing you know, you have water tainted gas in your tank.
These things happen - regardless of gas station brand.
One reason why I avoid filling up at any gas station while a tanker is present and refilling the station's tanks.
