It's also my favorite non BMW M, AMG or Porsche Turbo product. In other words, if you're looking for a high end luxury car which isn't a top echelon performance variant, the Tesla is the best there is right now in my opinion.

MSTMNG - have you driven the Tesla Model S?
unfortunately not
but i definitely will with first possible opportunity
they should be hitting UK in spring '14, so pretty soon

though cant see myself driving car with no exhaust

m5 and i8 should be a good stable
I hear you!

I was a bit disappointed with i8 though. I feel it should be faster than the Tesla P85+ in 0-60 and also I think they should have made it without a petrol engine. For $135k base I want more.

Also even as a hybrid, the i8 is weak. If they had used an M4 engine instead of a three cylinder turbo, then the combined petrol/electric output would have been around 580hp which combined with AWD (since electric motor powers front wheels and petrol powers rears) would have made for one hell of an exciting sports coupe. I would probably have bought one.

Can't wait till the next Carbon Fiber Hybrid M6. That will be a killer product!
