Why in the hell would you pay hundreds of dollars to mute some chrome?
Go buy a can of black PLASTIDIP and spray the chrome ...you don't even have to mask off the area when you use plastidip because it just peels off at the seams.
this is something I've done on the first day of ownership on both of my f10's.
Why plastidip and not vinyl or paintjob?
plastidip is much easier than vinyl and you have no razor blades coming anywhere near your car. and vinyl has just always got some problem when you look at it closely ..plastidip is absolutely perfect ANDunlike vinyl when you pull plastidip off there's no glue residue to have to worry or deal with.
and unlike getting a paint job its completely reversible
and I would never bother pulling handles on and off of a car or paying that kind of money just to black out a very small amount of chrome..
Blacking out the chrome on the door handles of the f10 makes a drastic visual improvement because it makes the handles blend in and not stand out and look bulky.
Dont be dumb. use plastidip.
the only bits you need to buy paintjob painted are the reflectors.
i plastidip sprayed my quarterpanel grills as well.
and this being a new thread thats already 2 pages long on this simple, unimportant cosmetic mod is i think the first sign of the direction this forum is going now that there are a lot of cheap m5's on the market getting bought up now
