Does the taller gearing in the MT help the driver modulate wheel spin? Perhaps - but I would suggest having a real (foot operated) clutch is a more significant advantage.
MT guys do argue that clutch modulation is an advantage off the line, but the DCT equipped cars always fare better in tests. I wonder if this is due to launch control. It would be interesting to see a drag race between MT and DCT cars without using LC in the DCT car.

The available
Peak torque from 1500 RPM all the way to 5750 RPM is kinda WOT and again still I believe M5 MT has better traction and also clutch modulation is an advantage...
I'm supposed to meet one of the members this week and get behind the wheel of his M5 MT...I'm so excited to see how MT works on this big heavy monster sedan
