Here in Canada/USA we can not even using 1/5th of the M5's potential. I laugh in the owners manual where it says to increase speeds to 250km/h for passing briefly after 2000km/1200mi. Where I live at least the fastest highway is 110km/h and after 40km/h over that you have a mandatory court appearance. In Germany people are doing 180km/h right out of the gate. I never hesitated to goose it now and then during the break in and have only had one top-up half quart top up at 800km, now at 8000km and still no call for extra oil.
Similar to the UK, we have some roads free of police but not many, and speed guns here are a favourite police activity, so a blast now and then. As for 150MPH thats a jail sentence here.
