The F10 M5 and F12/F13 M6 are known to burn more oil than previous M's. But for comparison, I have a bit over 5,000 miles on my M6, and have only had to put in 2 quarts of oil over that period. Every 600 miles does seem out of the norm from the other responses I have read. Also, it seems from these other responses that oil consumption goes down with more miles on the car. Just my 2 cents.
