Hey - tried it this morning - works well - good tip. Keeps that stupid drip from running down the door.
Basically I stand on the mirror side and kinda use my hip and hand on both sides of the outer portion of the mirror case for support...and push forward toward the front of the car. Mirror casing will rotate on its pivot. The housing will then be in a slightly downward angle...water drains much better that way.
