So here are pix of the process.

1st is when I started.
2nd is during.
3rd is final.

So the sticker comes completely off, however there is a slight imprint left. Since it's lighter, I don't think it's due to exposure to sun discoloring the surrounding areas. It's most likely residual adhesive.

Even with the imprint, to me it looks a lot better than with the sticker. Besides, this cost me $2.50 for the acetone from Walmart (nail polish remover) and a bit of time while I was watching TV.

I'm probably going to try some alcantara reconditioning at some point to remove the imprint, but I'm satisfied at the moment.
