Things to consider, this is my first BMW and non AWD. In addition before buying

the M5 I considered the GTR however, in the end I chose practicality + lesser

performance over Godzilla since I will not be tracking. Currently I've done 700

kms. If I had to describe the M5 in one word I would say the car is bipolar. At

comfort settings the car feels like driving a boat on the the road. However at

sport settings or even comfort setting (if you drive aggressively) the car will

transform into a muscle car. Bottom line I love the car and have no regrets over

choosing it over the GTR. Love the gadgets, the feeling of driving a boat in heavy

traffic or when feeling lazy, having 560 horses when wanting some fun, and the

comfort of seats and luxury. However things I don't like about the car is with

DSC engaged the car's back will swerve if accelerating fast, I would have liked an

AWD trans on the car similar to a porsche to better stabilize the car after sudden

acceleration. Also you can feel and experience the power and beasts under the

hood of the car of however this feeling is not translated with the exhaust note

(hoping akrapovic exhaust will cure this).

Thanks for the honest review. How is the steering feel? They have dampened the sound of the exhaust in this M5 to give it more of a luxury driving experience and instead routing "prerecorded" exhaust sounds through the speakers.

Congrats on your car! It is beautiful!
