The way it works is you choose an ED Date. BMW then figures out when to build the car to avoid unnecessary storage.
Typically 2015 MY delivery will start on or around August 15th (you should ask dealer to confirm with BMW). So if you want a 2014 M5, you would need to pick a date before that.
