Im am sorry to announce that the recall/ software update will do nothing. We have had this problem with the hpfp's for over 3 years. Some people are on there 4th pumps as all of you know. There have been different pumps and different software in which none have worked to solve the problem. You think bmw came up with a magical solution in only a few hours to fix this since they havent been able to fix it in almost 4 years??? Doubtful...and look there have even been hpfp failures in the new N55. Something is wrong here
